"Migrant Voices," an improvisational music album by Israeli guitarist Itamar Erez and Iranian percussionist Hamin Honari, is a unique project that blends diverse cultural influences, highlighting the spontaneous interplay between guitar and percussion and illustrating that everyone really can get along if we find our common ground.
Recipient of the 2014 ACUM Prize for Special Achievement in Jazz and the prestigious 2014 Landau Prize, Itamar Erez is an internationally renowned composer, guitarist, and pianist who has shared the stage with such musicians as Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Jean-Louis Matinier, Zohar Fresco, and many others.
Hamin Honari, an eminent Iranian hand drummer, has skillfully merged his talents with a myriad of musical styles, influenced by his upbringing in a musically vibrant family. Honari's global footprint is underscored by tours in over 25 countries and partnerships with esteemed artists like Itamar Erez, Kayhan Kalhor, and Kiya Tabassian.
